- Healthcare Data Innovation Forum Held for AI Innovation and Future Strategies (Nov. 26)

The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, Minister Cho KyooHong) announced that, in collaboration with the Korea Health Information Service (KHIS, President Yeom MinSeop), it hosted the 2024 Data-Driven Hospital Performance Sharing Meeting and the Healthcare Data Innovation Forum at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, at COEX in Seoul.

At the Data-Driven Hospital Performance Sharing Meeting, representatives from all 43 data-driven hospitals nationwide attended to share the achievements from the past five years and discuss the future direction of those institutions.

Additionally, the Healthcare Data Innovation Forum, an annual event aimed at promoting the utilization of healthcare data, was held this year under the theme "Healthcare AI Innovation and Future Strategies." Experts, including members of the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, convened to explore the developmental trajectory of healthcare AI.

Ko HyungWoo, Director General of Advanced Health Technology Policy at MOHW, emphasized, “As key stakeholders in the healthcare data ecosystem, medical institutions play a critical role in ensuring its safe utilization.” He added, “I hope the Data-Driven Hospital Performance Sharing Meeting and the Healthcare Data Innovation Forum will serve as platforms for collaboration among the government, medical community, academia, and industry, fostering a data collaboration framework that advances healthcare innovation and improves public health.” ///
