- Sex: Male 24 (66.7%), female 12 (33.3%)
- Age above 60 years old: 29 (80.6%)
- Comorbidity: the number of high-risk patients in old age or with underlying medical conditions such as cardio-cerebrovascular disease, cancer and chronic respiratory disease is 33 (91.7%).

¨ Pan-government meeting on MERS countermeasures
- From July 13, Minister of Health and Welfare Moon Hyung-pyo will preside over the pan-government meeting on MERS countermeasures presided by Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn.
- In case of emergency, the meeting presided by the prime minister will begin again to make a quick decision.
- The basic framework of the previous meetings will be preserved.
-The participants include the second deputy head at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, the second vice minister at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance as well as the vice ministers at the Ministry of Public Safety and Security, the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
¨ Update on the revised supplementary budget
- The budget bill involves 68.4 billion won for infection prevention and control; and 144.7 billion won for strengthening the medical facilities needed to deal with infectious diseases.
¨ Update on the MERS special committee
- The special committee meeting, which was scheduled to end on July 16, will be held one more time at 2 p.m. on July 22.
