¨ Update on National Safe Hospitals
- Six medical institutions are newly designated as National Safe Hospitals. Three of them (Seongnam Central Hospital, Asan Chungmu Hospital and Daechung Hospital) were where MERS cases occurred or visited, but after the end of incubation or quarantine period, they have thoroughly conducted disinfection measures on their whole building.
- The new National Safe Hospitals include Seongnam Central Hospital, Asan Chungmu Hospital, Daechung Hospital, Ansan Hospital of Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, Hanyang Rheumatis Hospital and Gupo Sacred Heart Hospital.
- Depending on results of the inspection of National Safe Hospitals by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service) and the Korean Hospital Association, Incheon Medical Center was excluded from the list of National Safe Hospitals on July 2, because it has still failed to comply with requirements such as arranging a temporary isolated place.
-Accordingly, the number of National Safe Hospitals increased to 285.
