The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, Minister Jeong Eun Kyeong) presented the Emergency Response Plan to Strengthen Suicide Prevention, jointly developed with relevant ministries, at the Cabinet Meeting on July 28, 2026. The plan is part of the government's broader 9 Sector-Specific Suicide Prevention Measures, which were initiated following discussions at the 20th Cabinet Meeting held on May 6, 2026.
