23rd National Children’s Assembly Focuses on Academic Pressure and Children’s Rights


- Around 110 child representatives from across Korea gather to discuss policy and propose recommendations

- Resolution to be adopted and submitted to the government, National Assembly, local governments, and offices of education, and reported to the Child Policy Coordinating Committee


The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW, Minister Jeong Eun Kyeong), together with the National Center for the Rights of the Child (NCRC, President Kim Yoo-im) and the Korea Council of Children’s Organizations (KOCCO, Chair Oh Joon), will hold the 23rd National Children’s Assembly from August 4 to 6, 2026, at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building and the International Youth Center. This year’s theme is “Academic Pressure and Children’s Rights,” with the slogan “Less Academic Pressure, Healthier Children.”
