Korean, Chinese, and Japanese Health Ministers Discuss International Cooperation in Healthcare

- Minister of Health and Welfare Cho, KyooHong chaired the 15th Tripartite Health Ministers Meeting, which was held via video conference, on December 16. The agenda was focused on international cooperation in healthcare, including how to better respond to infectious diseases.

- At this year’s meeting, the participants shared their respective national policy experiences and sought ways for the three nations to work together on (1) achieving health security through cooperation in responding to infectious diseases, (2) offering universal health coverage, and (3) ensuring healthy aging.

- Following the discussion, the three ministers adopted a joint statement based on their discussions including the three countries' commitment to stepping up future cooperation on health with regard to the main topics of △Global Health Security, △UHC, and △Healthy Aging.
