Basic Livelihood Security Program: Benefit Recipients & Payment
- In 2016, 1.63 million people received the Basic Livelihood Security Program (BLSP) benefits. Among them were 1.54 million general recipients and 91,000 institutionalized recipients. The BLSP benefit recipients as a share of the total registered residents (take-up rate) is 3.2%.
- In 2017, the standard median income per 4-person household was KRW 4.467 million, up 1.73% from 2016.
